The latest release, “Vía Láctea,” takes on a new dimension through Sessa’s distinctive interpretation.
As part of the musical journey behind Memo Rex Commander y el Corazón Atómico de la Vía Láctea (Revisitado), “Vía Láctea” returns as the second single from the tribute project. Sessa reimagines the beloved track while preserving the essence of the original, bringing his unmistakable voice and artistic perspective to a fresh rendition.
One of Zoé’s most beloved songs, “Vía Láctea,” now becomes a new listening experience in the hands of Sessa, one of the standout voices of a new generation of artists from São Paulo, Brazil. Known for blending bossa nova, jazz, and Afro-Brazilian percussion, Sessa creates a sound rooted in Brazil’s musical traditions while embracing a contemporary approach.
The release also represents a meaningful cultural connection between Mexico and Brazil. It is part of the tribute album Memo Rex Commander y el Corazón Atómico de la Vía Láctea (Revisitado), which places “Vía Láctea” and 13 other songs in the hands of artists from Mexico, Latin America, the United States, and Europe, inviting each artist to honor Zoé’s original sound while reinventing the music through their own unique style.
