MADRID WELCOMES HOME ITS MOST UNIVERSAL ARTIST: ALEJANDRO SANZ
Miami FL, (June 21, 2026) – Before more than 60,000 people gathered at Riyadh Air Metropolitano, Spain’s most universal artist, Alejandro Sanz, transformed the capital on Saturday, June 20 into one enormous embrace and a celebration of Spanish-language music at its very best.
The Madrid stop of his global ¿Y Ahora Qué? tour arrived on the heels of an extraordinary run of success. Seville set the stage with more than 70,000 attendees and a sold-out show; Gijón followed with another capacity crowd; Bilbao confirmed the phenomenon; and Palma de Mallorca posted a Sold Out sign of its own, bringing together more than 20,000 fans at Son Moix. But Madrid was a homecoming. And the city responded as it only does for artists who are part of its history.
From the first chord to the final applause, the stadium became a monumental choir where multiple generations sang every song as if it belonged to them. In Alejandro’s words, “music has the power to make us live in the present.”
Few careers have managed to touch so many lives, moments, and emotions with the natural ease that Alejandro Sanz has achieved. ¿Y Ahora Qué? is the latest confirmation of the extraordinary connection between an artist and his audience, a relationship built over decades that remains as strong as ever, continuing to grow and reclaim iconic stages such as Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
Madrid once again confirmed the extraordinary momentum behind Alejandro Sanz and one of the most remarkable tours of his career, following sold-out performances throughout Mexico, South America, and the United States. In the weeks ahead, the artist will continue his journey across some of Spain’s most iconic stages, further reaffirming his status as one of the most influential figures in the history of Spanish-language music.
