ELENA ROSE AND SILVESTRE DANGOND UNITE FOR THEIR HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FIRST COLLABORATION, "EFECTOS SECUNDARIOS"
Miami, FL (October 16, 2026) — Born from years of friendship, a shared creative chemistry, and an undeniable connection, Cuban duo Gente de Zona and Venezuelan singer-songwriter Elena Rose, a 2026 Latin GRAMMY nominee for Record of the Year, join forces on “Nadie Se Murió,” a collaboration that blends heartfelt emotion, infectious energy, and the unmistakable rhythms of the Caribbean.
Written and produced from scratch in the studio alongside producer Angel “Pututi” Arce, the track brings together Elena Rose’s alternative pop influences and emotional storytelling with the tropical and urban sounds that define Gente de Zona’s Alexander and Randy.
The song pays tribute to Cuba’s rich musical heritage by weaving together three traditional styles. It begins with the warmth of Son Montuno, transitions into an energetic Cuban salsa infused with timba, and builds to an explosive Conga Santiaguera finale. “That was the moment we realized Elena could sing absolutely anything she wanted,” Randy shared.
Gente de Zona praised Elena’s artistry, dedication, and the unique energy she brings to their upcoming album, ‘Isla Viva,’ set for release in 2027.
“We’ve known Elena since she was about 18 or 20 years old. We’ve always had a beautiful relationship, and we’ve been dreaming of making a song together for a long time,” Randy shared.
Alexander added, “Elena has such a beautiful aura, an incredible voice, and she’s an amazing artist. It’s an honor for us to have her on this album.”
For Elena Rose, this collaboration is a dream come true, bringing her full circle with artists who helped shape her early musical journey.
“When I first arrived in this country, Gente de Zona and Pitbull were the biggest names in Miami. They were the kings, at least that’s how I saw them. Their music was there for me through so many moments when I was working nights and juggling so many things. To now be part of something with them is incredibly emotional, and I’m so grateful to see that dreams really do come true,” Elena Rose shared.
This isn’t the first time their musical paths have crossed, however, as Elena Rose also co-wrote Gente de Zona’s global hit “Muchacha.”
Beyond its upbeat rhythms and celebratory energy, “Nadie Se Murió” delivers an empowering message: love can bring heartbreak, disappointment, and pain, but ultimately, no one dies from a broken heart.
It’s a song about picking yourself back up, giving love another chance, holding on to hope, and striving to become the best version of yourself without losing sight of who you are. Its message resonates especially with Latinos who work hard, overcome challenges, and continue pursuing their dreams.
More than a collaboration between two artists, “Nadie Se Murió” brings Venezuela and Cuba together through music, celebrating its power to heal, inspire new beginnings, and remind us that life goes on.
