LOS ÁNGELES AZULES FUSE ICONIC MEXICAN CUMBIA WITH THE OPERATIC SOUND OF ANDREA BOCELLI
Miami, FL (April 19, 2026) – What would happen if you brought together the most internationally renowned cumbia group with one of today’s greatest opera icons? This past Saturday, April 18, Mexico City’s Zócalo became the setting for a monumental and unprecedented event headlined by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, which proved to be a resounding success by gathering more than 130,000 attendees at Plaza de la Constitución.
Andrea Bocelli delivered a masterclass through a magnificent musical journey as part of the international tour celebrating ‘Romanza,’ the album he released three decades ago. Within this special context, the tenor chose to merge his exquisite Italian opera with the finest cumbia in the world.
That’s when Los Ángeles Azules lit up Mexico City’s Zócalo. Before a fully captivated crowd filled with anticipation, the first chords of “Mis Sentimientos” began to play, one of the group’s most beloved and successful songs, which has amassed over 1.3 billion views on YouTube and made them the first group to join the platform’s prestigious Billion Views Club.
In an atmosphere full of magic, Los Ángeles Azules took over the stage alongside Ximena Sariñana, getting everyone at Plaza de la Constitución dancing. Fans sang every lyric at the top of their lungs in perfect unison and erupted in applause and celebration for the artists on stage.

As if that weren’t enough, moments later Los Ángeles Azules once again surprised every soul in attendance by deeply connecting with the crowd as they shook Mexico City’s Zócalo with the legendary song “What a Wonderful World,” a powerful performance brought to life alongside the unmistakable style of Ximena Sariñana.
With the accompaniment of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Minería throughout the event, the most emblematic moment arrived for the group, for Andrea Bocelli, and for the entire audience with the performance of “Vivo Por Ella,” a song that sent chills through Plaza de la Constitución and left the crowd covered in goosebumps. The moment became even more extraordinary with the participation of renowned American singer and actress Pia Toscano.

This is undoubtedly one of the most important moments in Los Ángeles Azules’ artistic career and adds to their latest milestone: “Por Ella,” a collaboration celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they joined forces with the Princess of Latin Pop, Belinda.
