DANIELA SPALLA AND LOS ÁNGELES AZULES GIVE “LEJOS DE LA CIUDAD” A CUMBIA TWIST
Miami, FL (October 16, 2026) – Los Ángeles Azules and Daniela Spalla have teamed up for a new rendition of “Lejos de la Ciudad,” one of the most significant songs of the Argentine singer-songwriter’s career, now reimagined through the unmistakable rhythms of cumbia.
Originally released in January 2024, “Lejos de la Ciudad” gained momentum organically, becoming a viral sensation and reaching Spotify’s Viral Top charts in more than 18 countries, including top positions across Mexico and Latin America. Its success led to a collaboration with Camilo, and now the song enters a new chapter alongside Los Ángeles Azules.
In this latest version, the iconic group from Iztapalapa brings its signature sound to the track while preserving the emotion and romanticism at the heart of Daniela’s songwriting. The result takes a song rooted in intimacy and transforms it into something meant to be shared, sung along to, and danced to.
“It was a pleasure for us to share this song with Daniela Spalla. From the very beginning, we could feel the love behind the lyrics. You can tell it was written from that special place of being in love. Bringing her song into the world of cumbia was an experience we truly enjoyed, and this collaboration reflects that in every note. We loved giving it our own sound while staying true to the essence of what she wanted to express, turning those emotions into music people can dance to,” Los Ángeles Azules share.
The collaboration also brings together two musical journeys deeply connected to Mexico. On one side are Los Ángeles Azules, one of the most influential groups in Mexican popular music. On the other is Daniela Spalla, an Argentine artist who has built a significant part of her career in Mexico, establishing herself as one of the country’s fastest-rising female voices in pop music.
With this release, “Lejos de la Ciudad” continues to evolve, taking a song that began as an intimate expression of love and giving it new life through one of Mexico’s most recognizable musical sounds.
“Lejos de la Ciudad” by Los Ángeles Azules and Daniela Spalla is out now on all streaming platforms.
