ALEJANDRO FERNÁNDEZ CELEBRATES MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY WITH A SOLD-OUT SHOW AT THE MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA IN LAS VEGAS
Miami, FL (September 16, 2026) – Alejandro Fernández returned to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on September 15 to celebrate Mexican Independence Day, continuing a tradition that began 23 years ago. Thousands of fans from around the world gathered for “De Rey a Rey,” a powerful celebration of Mexican music led by one of ranchera music’s most iconic voices and a longtime Las Vegas favorite.
As he has throughout the tour, Alejandro honored the legacy of his father with timeless classics including “No Me Sé Rajar,” “Lástima Que Seas Ajena,” “Mujeres Divinas,” “Volver, Volver,”and“El Rey.” These songs have transcended generations and remain a powerful reflection of Mexican culture and spirit.
Without a doubt, one of the night’s most emotional moments came when Alejandro moved to a second stage closer to the audience. Joined by a group of folkloric dancers, he proudly waved the Mexican flag and delivered the traditional Grito de Independencia, which echoed throughout the arena and moved the crowd. The powerful moment celebrated Mexico and its traditions, bringing the pride, heritage, and legacy of ranchera music to life on stage.
Alejandro Fernández is currently touring with De Rey a Rey, an emotional tribute to his father, Vicente Fernández. Since launching in 2024, the tour has traveled across Latin America, the United States, Spain, and Mexico, with more than 60 sold-out shows. Among its highlights was the historic October 4, 2025 concert at Estadio GNP Seguros, where Alejandro performed for more than 60,000 fans.
Adding to an already remarkable run, Alejandro recently delivered one of the most memorable moments of his career with La Serenata Más Grande del Mundo at La Minerva in Guadalajara, drawing a crowd of more than 270,000 people.
