MÉXICO VIBRA AND KICKS OFF THE FIFA WORLD CUP CELEBRATION WITH PERFORMANCES BY ALEJANDRO FERNÁNDEZ, LOS ÁNGELES AZULES, MARÍA JOSÉ & MATISSE
Miami, FL (June 10, 2026) – The excitement is building. This week belongs not only to soccer fans, but also to music lovers, as some of the biggest names in the industry take center stage to celebrate a historic moment. Tonight marked the first México Vibra concert at the Auditorio Nacional, an event that brought together some of today’s most celebrated artists for an unforgettable show featuring standout performances by Alejandro Fernández, Los Ángeles Azules, María José & Matisse.
This journey through the history of Mexican music took attendees through iconic moments and songs that have helped establish Mexico as one of the world’s most culturally influential nations. Each performance gave the audience goosebumps as they sang along to the beloved classics and enjoyed one of the most significant concerts of the year in Mexico.
María José was among the first artists to take the stage, delivering a stunning rendition of one of Mexico’s most emblematic songs, “Cucurrucucú Paloma,” accompanied by mariachi.
It was a powerful moment that undoubtedly left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

Matisse also took the stage at the iconic Auditorio Nacional, captivating the audience with renditions of two Juan Gabriel classics, “El Noa Noa” and “Querida,” accompanied by a live banda ensemble. The performance then gave way to the return of María José, who delivered a heartfelt rendition of “Nunca Voy a Olvidarte,” followed by a medley of heartbreak anthems featuring beloved ’80s classics such as “La Gata Bajo la Lluvia,” “Qué Ganas de No Verte Nunca Más,” “Así No Te Amará Jamás,” and “Él Me Mintió,” among others.
With her signature energy, stage presence, and charisma, La Josa delivered one of the most powerful and memorable performances of the night.

Then came one of the most anticipated moments of the night: Los Ángeles Azules! The legendary group from Iztapalapa took the stage, bringing the irresistible rhythm of their world-famous cumbia to the audience with symphonic renditions of three of their most iconic hits.
The set began with “El Listón de Tu Pelo,” featuring special guest Denise Gutiérrez. Next, Lucero joined the group for a stirring performance of “Cómo Te Voy a Olvidar.” To close the set, Melissa Robles of Matisse took the stage to perform the beloved anthem “Nunca Es Suficiente.”
No one could remain seated as Los Ángeles Azules filled the venue with their timeless classics, turning the evening into a massive celebration of music and dance.

With the energy in the room at an all-time high, Matisse returned to the stage to perform a banda-backed rendition of “Tu Cárcel,” one of the most beloved songs by legendary Mexican singer-songwriter Marco Antonio Solís. It was undoubtedly one of the standout moments of the evening.
The honor of closing the first night of México Vibra fell to Alejandro Fernández, one of the most celebrated ambassadors of Mexican music around the world. Making a grand entrance to a thunderous ovation, El Potrillo took the stage accompanied by both a mariachi ensemble and a symphony orchestra, opening his set with “Como Quien Pierde Una Estrella.”
He then paid tribute to his father, Vicente Fernández, with heartfelt performances of classics including “De Qué Manera Te Olvido,” “Volver, Volver,” and “El Rey,” before bringing the night to a triumphant close with “Cielito Lindo.”
Visibly moved by the occasion, Alejandro shared the unforgettable moment with an enthusiastic crowd that responded with nonstop applause throughout his performance.

Thus concluded the first night of this extraordinary event, which also featured performances by renowned artists including Lucero, Emmanuel, Mijares, Carla Morrison, Carlos Rivera, Meme, Aida Cuevas, and Banda El Recodo.
The celebration will continue tomorrow with not only the second night of this spectacular showcase, but also the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Countdown Concert, featuring performances by Los Ángeles Azules alongside Belinda, as well as Elena Rose, with many more surprises in store.
