Alejandro Sanz has 25 Latin GRAMMY® Awards and 4 GRAMMY® Awards in his accolades.
To date, he has released 18 albums, sold 25 million records, achieved over 80 platinum certifications in Spain, and multiple platinum certifications in Latin America and the United States.
 
His album ‘Más’ (1997) is the best-selling album in the history of Spain, spending 67 weeks on the country’s sales charts, and ‘El Alma al Aire’ (2000) is the second best-selling album on that record list.
 
In 2010, he received the Gold Medal for Fine Arts Merit, and in 2013, he was named an Honorary Doctor by Berklee College of Music for his contribution of the Spanish language to contemporary music.

Alejandro Sanz, the most awarded Spanish artist and one of the most admired internationally signs with Sony Music. The singer and songwriter has taken a break from his ‘SANZ en Vivo’ tour to finalize this historic agreement with his new record label. 
 
During the signing, Alejandro Sanz shared his joy during his first visit to his new home: “I’m very happy to join the Sony Music family, a place where I have many friends who share the LOVE for MUSIC. I’m confident that together we will have fun doing what we love the most.”

From his debut in 1991 with ‘Viviendo Deprisa’ to his latest studio album “SANZ,” released in December 2021 and nominated for “Album of the Year” at the Latin GRAMMY® Awards 2022, Alejandro Sanz has established himself as one of the most recognized and influential artists in the world. With over 25 million records sold, all of his albums have achieved multiple Platinum certifications in Spain, Latin America, and the United States.
 
He is also the Spanish artist with the highest number of GRAMMY® Awards in history, with a total of 25 Latin GRAMMYs® and 4 GRAMMYs®. In 2017, he was honored by the Latin Recording Academy as Person of the Year in recognition of his career and significant philanthropic contributions.
 
Throughout his career, Alejandro Sanz has collaborated with renowned artists from around the world, including performers such as Alicia Keys, Shakira, Destiny’s Child, Camila Cabello, Laura Pausini, Camilo, Marc Anthony, Nicky Jam, Alejandro Fernández, Ivete Sangalo, Eros Ramazzotti, Juanes, Juan Luis Guerra, and the legendary Tony Bennett, among others.
 
Alejandro Sanz is currently on tour with “Sanz en Vivo,” the worldwide tour he is undertaking in 2023, with over 60 confirmed dates. After selling out all the venues for the 15 concerts in Mexico, he continued his journey in April and May through Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina, returning to Spain in June, July, and August, and visiting the United States and Mexico in September and October.
 
As a social activist, Alejandro Sanz has also been recognized for his strong involvement with non-governmental organizations such as Save The Children, Greenpeace, Juegaterapia, and Doctors Without Borders. He has actively participated in numerous actions in support of the environment, from leading the “Save the Arctic” campaign alongside Greenpeace in 2013 to his most recent involvement in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25).
 
Alejandro Sanz was chosen as the representative of Europe at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to perform an emotional version of the classic song “IMAGINE” (the timeless masterpiece recorded by John Lennon in 1971), arranged by Hans Zimmer. He performed alongside four other music figures: John Legend representing the Americas, Keith Urban representing Oceania, Angelique Kidjo representing Africa, and the voices of the Suginami Children’s Choir from Japan representing Asia.
 
Among his recent accolades, the Madrid-born artist received his own star on the renowned Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has been named Honorary Son of Andalusia and Honorary Son of the Province of Cádiz, in addition to being awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Cádiz.
